The Petersburg sportsman Alexander Yerokhin has won on passing on October, 2-4nd 2009 Budapest (Hungary) the World championship of Kyokusinkan 2009. Dmitry Savelyev became the bronze prize-winner in a heavy weight category. The majority of medals of the World championship in a coin box of the Russian national team.

Dear Branch Chiefs and Contacts. I hope you all enjoy this last month of the year, and that you all are in good health. Here in Japan, the month of December is also called “Shiwasu”, and it is a month when everybody is very busy with various things before the end of the year. There are several explanations about the origins of this word, but the most widely accepted theory is that priests are supposed to intone a sutra at individual houses before the New Year’s Day, so they have to run in haste from east to west, from place to place.

On November, 1-2st, 2008 in Tokyo passed The 40th All Japan Karate Open Tournament. The Russian national team: Chehonin Andrey, Karpenko Ilja, Andrey Stepin, Igor Titkov, Nurmagamed Mamaedov, Vladislav Kiprijanov, Goderzi Kapanadze, Nikolay Davidov took part in tournament . As a result Igor Titkov has taken the seventh place. Nurmagamed Mamaedov has won a prize for tameshiwari (29 boards)

On October 18th&19th, the 40th All Japan Tournament has been spent. This tournament was the last selection for the Japanese Team Members to represent Japan at the Karate World Cup which will be held next year in Russia. The Japanese top fighters such as Tsukamoto, Suzuki and many others fought in this tournament. Also, Osaka who came on second place at the 8th World Championship, will make a come back, trying to get a place in the national team, for the World Cup.

Osu! We have a small Kyokushin camp in Helsinki. It's going to be mostly kihon (10 kyu - 1 dan), kata and kumite. The head instructor is sensei Geir Havreberg 4.dan from Norway. The price of the camp is 50 ?. The price includes only training and possibility to sleep over in dojo. This camp gives You good possibility to visit Helsinki and meet Finnish Kyokushin karateka's.
