12.10.2010 | Sensei Elena Vorobyova won the Muay Thai Russian Cup
Elena Vorobyova won the finals in the Muay Thai Russian Cup, which was organized on 7-10 October in St.Petersburg. After two convincing victories. Elena became the champion in her weight category. End of November Elena will participate in the Muay Thai World Championship, traditionally taking place in the home country of this sports - Thailand.

The 12th All Asian Tournament is scheduled to be held in Astana City, Kazakhstan Republic on October 16, 2010. Men's Kumite in weight categories (-75kg, +75kg) will be the platform for selecting fighters from IKO Asia/ Middle East Region for participation in the upcoming The 10th Open World Tournament 2011 in Tokyo. Junior Boys (-55kg, -60kg, -65kg and +65kg) and Women (-60kg and +60kg) tournaments will also be coincided.

Dear Branch Chiefs and Contacts. I hope you all enjoy this last month of the year, and that you all are in good health. Here in Japan, the month of December is also called “Shiwasu”, and it is a month when everybody is very busy with various things before the end of the year. There are several explanations about the origins of this word, but the most widely accepted theory is that priests are supposed to intone a sutra at individual houses before the New Year’s Day, so they have to run in haste from east to west, from place to place.

Special guests were: Shihan Antonio Pinero (EKKO President), Shihan Andre Drewniak (EKKO General Secretary), Sensei Christoph Fischer (EKKO Treasurer).
